What Triggers a Cal/OSHA Inspection and the Most Cited Regulations

Participants will learn what triggers a surprise visit from Cal/OSHA Enforcement and what steps they can take to prevent that from happening to them. Dan will also review what were the most cited standards in 2015 and what is the focus for 2016. This will help participants to be better prepared in case they experience any of the triggers that will bring Cal/OSHA to their establishments.

Dan Leiner is currently the Area Manager of the San Fernando Valley Cal/OSHA Consultation Service office in Van Nuys. He has been the Area Manager since 2000. Prior to being the Area Manager, he was an industrial hygiene consultant for six years with Cal/OSHA’s Santa Fe Springs’ consultation office. Dan is an instructor with the University of California, San Diego’s OSHA Training Institute Education Center. Dan has over 20 years of experience in the health and safety field as an industrial hygienist working in the aerospace industry, in a Los Angeles County lead-using industry outreach project, and with Cal/OSHA Consultation.
Please make sure all attendees arrive at least 15 minutes ahead to sign in. Plenty of free parking is available in the rear of the building.
