TITLE: Personal Lines Supervisor

LOCATION: Santa Maria, CA


Exciting long-term opportunity with growth potential for an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager with Supervisory experience. Seeking a dynamic and trusted business professional with solid client and employee relationship skills interested in learning and mastering new concepts for this key role. Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude by taking initiative, being enthusiastic, flexible, and dependable.


The ideal candidate will be readily adaptable to change, able to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with an unwavering commitment to customer service. This position entails a high level of responsibility and requires a minimum of 5-6 years account management  experience with the ability to successfully and efficiently manage a high volume workload.  In addition, 2-3 years experience supervising staff in personal insurance account handling preferred.  Exceptional problem solving and communication skills are essential, as well as a commitment to continuing education.  California Fire & Casualty Broker/Solicitor’s License Required. Completion of IIA General Insurance Program, ARM, CPCU and/or other insurance courses highly desirable.

The Personal Lines Supervisor / Account Manager is responsible for the day to day servicing of assigned accounts. The incumbent will enjoy providing outstanding service to the client, account executives, partners, and insurance company representatives.


Responsibilities include the placement of personal lines coverage’s for existing clients as well as new business prospects. Supervise, train and evaluate the Personal Lines Department Staff and coordinate day-to-day activities of the Department as well as overall Department strategies and objectives

  • Excellent oral and written English communication and figure aptitude skills, normally acquired through completion of high school level studies; college preferred
  • Minimum five to six years agency experience in Personal Lines account handling
  • Minimum two to three years’ experience supervising staff in personal insurance account handling
  • California Fire & Casualty Broker-Agent license
  • Completion of IIA General Insurance Program, ARM, CPCU and/or other insurance courses highly desirable
  • Participate in continuing education for the maintenance of insurance license and personal development
  • Strong aptitude with personal computers and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work with minimal direction or assistance and to work with multiple levels and multiple departments within the organization
  • Strong organizational skills as demonstrated by the ability to work on several tasks at once with frequent interruptions while meeting sensitive timeframes
  • Proficient in use of personal computers and ability to quickly learn various software programs
