Adult CPR First Aid

There are several regulations that require California employers to provide first aid training to their employees. Two of them are:
§3400. Medical Services and First Aid. (b) In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital, in near proximity to the workplace, which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid…(near proximity means within 3 to 4 minutes if serious injuries can be anticipated to occur!)
§3439. First Aid Kits. (b) At remote locations, provisions must be made in advance for prompt medical attention in case of serious injuries… There shall be at least 1 employee for every 20 employees at any remote location with training for the administering of emergency first aid.
Cost: $30 per participant
Participants will receive a CPR certification card valid for two years. This class will be limited to a maximum of 12 participants only.

First Aid: Learn about blood borne pathogens, the universal precautions and how to respond to common first aid emergencies, including:

Burns

Cuts and lacerations
-
head, neck and back injuries
-
fractures
-
heat and cold related emergencies
CPR: Learn how to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults

Learn the signs of a heart attack in women
-
Learn the signs of a heart attack in men
There can be important differences!
Ample free parking is available. Class will begin on time. Please give yourself enough time to park and locate the training room.
