Safety and the Supervisor: What They Should Know
Wednesday, August 16th, 2017
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (English)
Supervisors are key to the success of any organization. They can have either a tremendous positive or negative impact on their company. The effects of a good or bad supervisor will be felt throughout the company, not just within their particular area of responsibility. For example, good supervisors tend to have fewer problems as compared to other supervisors. Their shifts or crews tend to work better with less unexpected down time, lost time accidents or incidents.
Good supervisors tend to be knowledgeable regarding the specific details of the tasks they have been assigned to support production, as well as the safety aspects of the jobs they and their crews carry out. Additionally, they tend to be familiar with, and take to heart, their own personal duty with regards to the safety and health of their team.
