After nearly six years of discussion and debate the Cal/OSHA Standards Board approved a standard for Hotel Housekeeping Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention. This went into effect on July 1, 2018. The new regulation under Title 8 Section 3345 requires employers in the hotel and lodging industry to establish, implement and maintain an effective Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention Program. .

About the Speaker

Presenter: Bonnie Sander, MS, CIH, CSP, CAE – Loss Prevention Engineer Specialist

Bonnie has 30 years of safety and health experience. Twenty six of those years have been at the State Fund initially as an Industrial Hygienist. For the past 5 years she has been focused on Ergonomics. She has a MS in Environmental Health and Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
